"2012" is a complementary chapter
where the author shares his thoughts
about Universe behind the story of
SCARAB - Portrait of a Man.

1. "Even before the beginning of Universe..."

It is commonly accepted, yet unexplained phenomenon
that we have an ability to experience certain events
in our dreams that will eventuate in the physical reality later,
in the near or even in the distant future.

Each of us has had a moment in life when one can say:
"I have seen this in my dream! Some time ago!"

And to the contrary:
while watching the rising sun, we normally don't think:
"I'm watching 8 minutes back in time!"
(it takes 8 minutes for the sunlight to reach the earth)
or while whatching the stars in the night sky:
"Everything that surrounds us is so distant past!"
(it takes millions of years for the starlight to reach us)

The ability to switch off our consious mind that connects us
with the physical reality, then to experience in our mysterious
subconsiousness future events while sleeping,

and the ability to look into a distant past -
by using powerful telescopes we can take a journey to billions
of years back in time, to the very moment of the birth of our
universe - a fraction of second after the Big Bang!
Isn't it amazing - it is still visible, still there!
Yet we are here.

But where are we, in relation to the birth place of our Universe?
The Big Bang did not have a particular center in Space.
There is only a relative Timeline, a process...

If the timeline is a process and the space is the tension of
this process, then the tension had to start somewhere.
Where from? And why?

What if I AM the center of this tension - continuously changing
in the flow of billions of years, while appearing and disappearing
in the process of transformations and reincarnations, in evolutio
(unwraping, unfurling) and Re-Ligare (binding, connecting again)
according to WHO I AM...

"Who are you?" asked Moses.
"Ehyeh asher ehyeh" -
"I am who I am." was the answer (Exodus 3:14)

or YHWH, meaning the PRESENT.
But it can also mean I SHALL BE - the FUTURE.

2. Cycles of Time.

There are many cycles that can be counted:
cycles of hours, days, changing seasons, different years,
all calculated according to the rotation of the Earth inside the
Solar System.

So as our house (a smaller home where we live) is located in a
certain country, so is the Solar System located in the Galaxy -
in our greater home.

If smaller cycles of the Earth are calculated by its movements
in the Solar System, then larger cycles are calculated by the
Solar System's movment in the Universe, by its relative position
with regard to the constellations and the center of the Galaxy.

If we are always 8 minutes behind any physical event we observe
on our Sun, then we are always around 26 000 years behind any
physical event taking place in the center of our Galaxy.

Coincidently or not, the Earth's axis completes one full cycle of
precession of the equinoxes while passing through all the ages
of the Zodiac also in approximately 26 000 years time.
By some of the estimates it takes around 25 700 to 25 925
years and is known as a Platonic year.

2012.

There is a certain galactic event that marks the end of the Platonic
year. It is the alignment of the December solstice Sun with the galactic
equator, forming a cross with the ecliptic - with the road our Sun is
travelling. The entire region is surrounded by a huge ball -
the 'nuclear bulge' of the Galactic Center.

There are many different cycles and ages inside one Platonic year.
One of them, bit more than 5125 years lasting cycle is called as
the Ancient Mayan Calendar.

Five of these cycles, which make a total of 25 600+ years have also
been refered to as the Five Suns of the mythical world-view held
by the Aztec and other Nahua peoples.

Along with those of the Aztecs, the Maya calendars are the
best-documented and most completely understood.

The calendar started in 11. August 3114 BC and will end
on 21. December 2012 AD.

Not much is known about the people who lived on Earth before
the start of this calendar, but it is known what happend after.

3100 BC.

There were three most remarkable events taking place
in the very beginning of the Long Count, the Mayan Calendar:

- the earliest phase of building the Stonehenge,
the surrounding circular earth bank and ditch;
- the first city in history was founded - the city of Uruk
in Mesopotamia, modern Iraq;
- the first dynasty of Ancient Egypt was founded
by a man called Narmer.

3102 BC - the beginning of Kali Yuga - Age of Kali.

According to the Surya Siddhanta, an astronomical treatise that forms
the basis of all Hindu and Buddhist calendars, Kali Yuga began at midnight
on 23 January 3102 BC in the proleptic Gregorian calendar, which is also
considered by many Hindus to be the time that Krishna left to his own abode.

Most interpretations of Hindu scriptures believe that earth is currently
in Kali Yuga, though others believe that earth is now at the beginning of
Dvapara Yuga.
Hindus believe that human civilization degenerates spiritually throughout
the Kali Yuga: it is mostly refered to as the Dark Age, associated with
the apocalypse demon Kali.

3. Ideas in scripture and architecture.

A scripture was written as an expression of a fundamental idea.
Like a building that starts from the corner stone the idea grew
stone by stone into a larger vision.
Once the idea was strong within, it was seeking an expression
into the visible substance - to build a magnificant temple equal
to the power of the idea within.

The knowledge that was encoded into the substance
in turn started to influence the ways of thinking.
This was a turning point after which the world was never same again.

4. The civilizations.

The Great Pyramid, like any other great structure of ancient world,
was not built by a civilization - it was built to create one.

The greatness of the idea, expressed through the size of the pyramid
insured the continuety of Egyptian civilization for at least 2500 years -
longer than any other civilization inside the Fifth Sun, the Mayan
Calendar.

All the new born civilizations in Europe, Asia, America and Africa
were sharing the same knowledge - the same cosmic principles.
Yet the earthly interpretations and implementations of these principles
were leading to their dawnfall.

Different religions were also born from the scriptures. In turn,
these differences enabled to restrain the ambition of earthly
and clerical leaders to conquer and corrupt the whole world.
The premise for growth was that way insured.

The most difficult time for a man is the "growing up" time.
But there is always a moment in life which marks the end of that time.
It is when one puts the books aside and goes through the final exam.

After 26 000 years of traveling we have finally reached this moment -
year 2012 is marking the end of the Five Suns of the Solar Age.
We are standing on the doorway to a new era - the Galactic Age .
